Upon entry, you are welcomed by a large open layout of the living area, dining room, and kitchen. There is a half bath towards the entrance next to the washer and dryer, so very convenient. Enjoy the openness of the living area that has a sleeper sofa and plenty of seating. Watch your favorite show and enjoy the central AC.

The kitchen has all the gadgets any home chief needs and bar seating to keep your chief company. Dine inside at the dining room table or opt for outside dining.

This home has two en-suites that offer privacy and comfort. The guest suite offers a king bed, cable TV, and a private bathroom with a toilet room and walk-in shower. Enjoy being able to access the lanai from your room.

The primary suite has a California king bed and an en-suite bathroom with double vanity, a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. A large closet as well as a chested drawer. Enjoy your ocean view and private lanai access.

Wonderful Unit and Location!

We stayed at this unit in February 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked a 2nd stay in January 2024. It features the kinds of amenities we care most about: The complex is very quiet, located in a gated small development at the end of a cul-de-sac, with quiet neighbors and respectful golfers playing past the lanai, and no road noise. The front door is ground level to the front door, while the spacious lanai is on the second level above the golf course, so there is a bit of privacy. The lanai faces west toward the golf course, so it is well shielded from the sun until late afternoon and enjoys great sunsets. All the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The pool / hot tub / BBQ area is located feet from the unit and features both open areas for sunbathing and covered areas. The pool was very quiet. The golf course features a bar/diner a couple hundred yards away. The unit has had some upgrades in the last year (new carpet, some furnishings), and the management company was very responsive to the one issue we had last year. We’ve stayed a numerous properties on the Big Island over the years, but have found that the Waikoloa area, and especially this particular unit has become our favorite.

Review of stay at A208

We have been staying annually in this complex every for about 10 years and, and atleast 2 times in this condo. The complex is private and upscale, and the views are terrific and that's why we come back here. Having said that, this condo while clean overall, does need improvement to its furniture which we notice has not changed much at all for several years. The main concerns in A208 have been reported to CB Island vacations during our latest stay ending this week. They are,

The beds seem to have cheap springs and they squeak, especially the smaller room beds squeak a LOT and make a LOT of noice and those are impossible to sleep on. This matters a lot and is MAJOR concern for us and prevents a good night sleep. As far as the master bedroom, besides some squeaking coming from one side of the springs, the mattress itself is over-used and uneven at the top. The master bedroom bed backrest is loose and hits the wall every time one sits up.

A few more improvement items - the faucets are very very old and the shower head is quite loose and moving around, the chest and drawers are worn out too, and the coffee table is extremely loose and may split open if moved. These things need replacement. The beds are a major issue though, to be able to sleep comfortably in an otherwise beautifully located condo. This has been reported to the manager and hopefully by our next trips, which we have booked in Jan and April also, we will see a change. I know some of the other units where we have stayed have more comfortable beds and furniture. Other things we noticed include non-working en-suite exhaust fan for the smaller room which we luckily did not use since the beds cannot be slept on.

Rest is all great, and speaks more to the place and views. We have booked again in Winter and Spring of 2024 and hope these items are addressed, so we can look forward to a nice visit again. Overall, its still between 4-5 stars, out of 5.

Great Stay

What a great place to stay! The location superb, close to several beaches, shops and activities. The furnitures could use a bit of updating like others have mentioned but my it did not matter, my family was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful Views of the Sunset

The Condo was nice and in a quiet area. It was dated but very clean. We did have a problem with the vertical blinds in the bedroom near the kitchen. The handle to open them was broken. We called the property manager and they sent someone over, but he couldn't fix them because of not being able to get parts for them any longer.
We enjoyed the beach chairs, towels and Ice chest provided. They were very handy when going to the beach.
One thing that I was shocked about is most VRBO'S (I have stayed in 8) provide spices and oils for cooking. This one only had salt & pepper, nothing else. That was a little disappointing.
The most absolute best thing is the view from the patio!!! Beautiful sunsets every night!!!

We had a great time at this beautiful condo. The location is ideal and the view is perfect. It was very clean and as pictured and described.
Getting into the smart TV was a problem, but guest relations came and resolved the problem. Overall I would highly recommend this condo. Go to Merriman’s in Waimea!

Five Stars! Clean, spacious unit with a beautiful view

Wow! This was a fantastic unit – clean, modern, quiet, well-designed, comfortable, and with a spacious lanai offering gorgeous and unimpeded sunset views. We travel to the Big Island every year for a short break from the cold and snow in Alaska, and this easily became our favorite condo. We stayed in the master bedroom and our adult daughter occupied the second bedroom, and all of us commented on how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen is roomier than those found in many similarly sized rental units. The carpet was a bit tired but the condo was very clean. The lanai is on the second story of the unit and overlooks the golf course. The golf carts were electric and very quiet; the only noise we heard were the songs of birds in the nearby trees. The gated pool is a one-minute walk from the front door but no pool noise carries into the unit. The pool and grounds are extremely well maintained. We had one minor issue (the vertical blinds in the second bedroom were missing a wand and did not open), and the property manager was quick to respond. We cannot recommend this unit highly enough and we plan to return next year for another relaxing vacation.

A great vacation house

My whole family (4 persons) stayed here for 11 nights during Christmas 2022. The house was clean and well equipped with everything needed - including a full kitchen, a lovely balcony, a specially living/dining area. We had a wonderful time there.

The location is not bad either, it's in the center of all attractions, not far to Kona, Hilo, and volcano and all attractions are within reasonable driving distance (<2 hours at most). The swimming pool is a little small but very well maintained. The staff was very friendly.

The only area to improve is the furniture was a little old, the mattresses may need to be replaced. Otherwise, it's perfect place to stay if you want to deeply explore the big island.

Coldwell Banker Island Properties (CBIP) Waikoloa Fairways #A-208

The "A" buildings at Waikoloa Fairways have great vacation rentals, including A-208. The condo has a nice layout, quality furniture, the kitchen is well equipped, and has a beautiful lanai with golf course and ocean views. The condo could use a carpet refresh but the main complaint concerns the windows. The air at night can be very pleasant and cool so it would be nice to leave the windows open and not use AC overnight. We tried that and were attacked by a squadron of mosquitoes during the night. So we had to keep the windows closed and use AC overnight. The good news is that the AC works great. On the other hand, we had no problems with mosquitoes on the lanai during the day and early evening. What is needed is a good, tight-fitting set of window screens that keep the mosquitoes out. Other than the mosquitoes we had very little problem with insects (occasional small ants in the kitchen) so they are doing a good job at insect control.

There was a problem with the car security gate at the entrance to Waikoloa Fairways not opening after inputting the code. This happened twice during our month-long stay. Each time I sent a message about the problem to CBIP Vacations I received a quick response that they would contact the condo manager about the problem. The problem would then be corrected soon thereafter. One of those times was on the labor day holiday but the response from CBIP Vacations was immediate, really super customer support.

Peaceful Stay

The condo is very well located with views to the ocean from the balcony and the master bedroom. The condo is very well furnished and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a constant breeze and we did not use the AC at all. I would recommend a change of mattress in the second bedroom. The grounds are very well kept as well.

Best value in Hawaii

This was one of the finest vacation rentals I've ever stayed anywhere and certainly the best in Hawaii. Fully furnished with anything you could ever want it was more like staying in someones home than a vacation rental. It was beautifully and tastefully appointed overlooking the golf course with view of the golfers, the nene geese and the sunsets. The entire complex was really well managed; clean, quiet and not crowded with other tourists (most units are resident owners). Those who frequently stay in vacation rentals might appreciate my litmus test for a rental; can you slice a tomato with a knife from the drawer? Not only was there a whole drawer of sharp knives, there was a wetting stone for sharpening! The gas grills were like brand new with double sets of clean grilling tools... in short, it was perfect! And because it was up at the village instead of the beach it was reasonably priced. 5 stars for value! Highly recommended!

The team at Caldwell Banker, were very professional, efficient and accommodating. This was easily the best rental experience I ever had.

Loved the Sounds of Native Birds

The condo location was beautiful. From the Lani we had a view of the water hole on the golf course and every morning we were greeted by the beautiful sounds of the native birds. In the evening we had most colorful sunsets. The condo is conveniently located near a market and some dining. The interior was quite comfortable and bedrooms well separated. The only negative was lack of closet space. There was no available closet in one of the bedrooms only dresser drawer space. For the price it was a great deal!

Perfect stay for two couples

This was a great location and the condo was perfect for two adult couples staying on the big island. The setup, with two en-suite bathrooms, was ideal. There was access to the lanai from both bedrooms. The condo was clean, the landscaping was well taken care of, and the views were nice. The pool and the hot tub was a nice amenity. The complex is very quiet, and it is a gated community.
