Located just 0.2 miles from the famous Cove Beach Park, Charley Young's Beach, and Kamaole I Beach in Kihei, this property offers not 1, but 2 private homes for large groups traveling together! A rare find, these recently remodeled and re-furnished homes comfortably sleep 8 guests each.

Also known as the Gathering Place, The Cove Hale is a perfect setting to get the family together, or a group of friends, to spend a memorable Maui vacation together at one location. Enjoy two separate homes, each being two stories high, so everyone has plenty of privacy and room to spread out. The location can't be beat with restaurants, shops, surfing, and multiple beaches all within walking distance!

Both homes feature a King size bedroom downstairs with a pull out couch in the living room, and a Queen size bedroom upstairs with an additional pullout couch in the upstairs living room. In addition there is a day bed with a trundle perfect for children. A full-sized kitchen is located upstairs to enjoy some or all meals at home, a dining area for 6 in each home, as well as an outdoor dining area off the lower lanai. Both homes also offer a large laundry room so you can get settled in for a while.

The homes are separated by a shared yard, which is set up for outdoor games and fun! New private pool and hot tub for guests use! Enjoy BBQ dinners in the private yard outside your two private homes.

This is not your usual swimming pool! This is a full resort designed with all ages in mind and features a built-in slide and baja shelf ideal for smaller children to splash around. The palapa is a shady area with a swim-up bar ledge and four stools built right into the pool. Situated beside the palapa and attached to the pool is a hot tub that can easily accommodate 6-8 people. The outdoor dining area with grill is located between the two houses with easy access to both and a view of the pool. There is loads of space to stretch out, relax, and enjoy the warm Kihei sun while the kids are entertained.

Famous Cove Beach Park is a 3-minute stroll across the street to the right, and Charley Young's Beach, and Kamaole I Beach are a 3-minute stroll to the left! Walk over to Hi-Tech Surf Sports to grab a surfboard and paddle out, or join in on a game of Volleyball at Cove Beach park! There are many restaurants to enjoy if you feel like dining out, all within walking distance as well. There is parking available for 4 vehicles at this property, and while it is great to have a rental car to adventure to other sides of the island, know that your group can very easily come and go on foot without having to get in the car. There is even a bus stop across the street for those who choose not to rent a vehicle.

South Maui is known for spectacular sunsets, so grab a chair and a cooler and head over to the beach across the street! The location can't be beat, and there are very few properties that can accommodate the entire family! Important to note: The County of Maui has begun to aggressively shut down illegal vacation rentals. Without fitting the criteria of County of Maui Ordinance No 4167 Bill No 75 (2014) or having a short term rental license, a property cannot be legally rented.
The criteria of the Ordinance applies to this house. It is located on property zoned A-2 Apartment District and was built well before 1989. When a property is zoned A-2, it has received building permits and was built prior to 1989, there is no restriction on the length of occupancies that can be accepted. Vacation and short-term transient rental use is entirely legal.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

After a vacation rental with a Hilo based agency failed, CB Island Vacations came through in grand style. Sherwin and his wife have created a wonderful two house rental with every possible detail well planned and executed. Our family of 10 fit perfectly with room to spare. It's got everything you might need except for the food. The kitchens are FULLY-equipped for cooking. There are beach chairs, towels, mats. The pictured beach is a short 5 minute walk, where you'll find a wide, gentle beach and reefs for snorkeling. Huge sea turtles lurk everywhere. Many of Maui's best beaches are a short drive away. Snorkel Bob's rents great gear just down the street. Walk to restaurants, a food truck park and shave ice. There's parking for 3 cars. Sleeping accommodations are great: two bedrooms, plus two large pullout sofa, in each house for a total of 16 possible. Although next to the primary road, noise was not a problem, as air conditioning muted any. Weather is also great as this is dry part of the island. Winds do pick up in the afternoons, then diminish at dusk. You can't go wrong with staying here!!!

We took our children and grandchildren to Maui. Fantastic time was had by everyone. These homes are located within easy walking distance to a couple of beaches as well as grocery stores and markets. Very clean and plenty of space. All told there were 14 of us in the two homes.

The townhomes are beautiful!! Our family came from California, Nevada and Oklahoma and were thrilled with our stay. Both units were fully stocked with everything you can image. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. We felt like we were staying in our own little oasis.

My family had a wonderful time at this place! It was a once in a lifetime trip for us, and there was lots of space for all 12 of us. The property is clean, well kept and conveniently located. We walked across the street to the beach almost every day, so the outdoor shower was perfect and the sunsets were amazing! It is also walking distance to several restaurants, though we preferred to grill in the back yard most nights. Each home has a fully stocked kitchen as well. We would love to come back!
